Hello there! My name is Falon Roberson and I was born and raised in Memphis, TN. I graduated from the University of Memphis where I received a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in School Social Work, and a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. While I was in the graduate program for Social Work, I took an Intro to ABA course and fell in love, thus leading me to pursue a second master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. After graduating, I became a Licensed Master’s Social Worker as well as received my certification and licensure in Behavior Analysis.
I have experience in a variety of settings. I’ve worked with children and families providing behavior interventions at the outpatient level of care, in-home settings, as well as in classroom settings. As Program Coordinator of an inclusion program at a local private school, I was also able to gain experience at the administrative level. More recently, my practice has focused on clinical settings through which I have provided initial and ongoing assessments, client program modification and supervision, and parent and staff training across client programs.
My special interests are working with children and adolescents who are dealing with anxiety, helping parents with finding strategies to help them across settings, and finding organizational systems that help people of all ages do what they want to do with their life. I have experience with discrete trial training, natural environment teaching, individual and group therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I am currently accruing clinical hours to sit for the Licensed Clinical Social Work exam.
